Compulsory subjects:

STPM, A Level, UEC and TAR UMT qualifications must include:
- SPM Credit/ O Level Grade C/ UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject#
- SPM Credit/ O Level Grade C/ UEC Grade B in one relevant science subject^
STPM, A Level, UEC, TAR UMT and Other IHL qualifications must have SPM Pass/ O Level Grade E (Pass)/ UEC Grade C in English Language
The requirements of credit in a mathematics and a relevant science subject at SPM/ O Level/ UEC can be waived should any other higher qualifications contain Mathematics and Biology/Physics/Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science subjects with an equivalent/ higher achievement.
#Grade B and above in General Mathematics conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the Mathematics requirement for applicants with a pass in SPM/Grade D or Grade E (pass) in O Level/Grade C in UEC in the required Mathematics subject.
^Grade B and above in General Science conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the Science requirement for applicants with a pass in SPM/Grade D or Grade E (pass) in O Level/Grade C in UEC in the required Science subject.

Note:

Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Bachelor Degree.
TAR UMT Diploma will be accepted on credit transfer into Bachelor Degree programmes.
Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
